Founded in 2011, the festival’s mission is to create new opportunities for companies, choreographers and young talent, bringing dance from all over the world to Villapiana, in the heart of Calabria. Since it began, the Festival has celebrated and honoured people who help dance grow and reach new audiences.

It presents awards to great artists for their careers, as well as to choreographers, journalists and industry professionals. It also recognises the young talents who represent the future of dance.

Over the years, the Festival has become an international meeting point for artists, cultures and generations, turning Villapiana into an open stage for dance and creativity.
