INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL – New York

In Manhattan, under the artistic direction of Antonio Fini, the International Summer School takes place over two weeks with numerous classes in various styles and a final performance at the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater during the Fini International Dance Award.

for the DREAM: Hip-Hop – Musical – Modern – Ballet – Contemporary – Heels

During the classes, scholarships will be awarded for the best dance centers in New York and Italy. At the end of the course, the FINI DANCE NEW YORK CERTIFICATE will be issued.

It is possible to participate in the INTENSIVE Summer School and in the final performance only through audition or invitation.

The DREAM program is freely open to dancers.

The minimum age to participate in the International Summer School is 14 (accompanied by an adult). From the age of 16, participants may travel independently.

Program

From August 22nd to September 2nd 2026

The festival in Manhattan takes place from August 22nd to September 2nd with a show and performance at the Alvin Ailey Citigroup Theater on August 30th.

A unique international experience in the heart of New York, with classes and the opportunity to perform on the Alvin Ailey Citigroup Theater stage during the Fini International Dance Award →.

At the end of the program, you will receive the Certificate of Attendance International Summer School – Fini Dance New York 2026.

The workshop is professional in nature.
All classes are mandatory.

The program* also includes the following activities:

** Photoshoot and performances will be followed by Angie Valentino, make-up artist for Good Morning America and the musical Aladdin, together with the BCM makeup artists (Professional Makeup School of Milan).

Scholarships

You can obtain a scholarship to participate in the International Summer School through:

video audition;
selections that take place during our initiatives;
during Speciale Firenze;
in partner events;
participating in the workshops of our ambassadors.

For the audition, please send a video (maximum 60 seconds) of a recent performance or a contemporary variation. If you study ballet, please also include an adagio. You can send the video via WhatsApp → or send a video link by email, indicating your age and the dance school you come from. We will get back to you as soon as possible with the results.

N.B .: Sending the audition video does not obligate you to purchase the courses, nor does it guarantee acceptance into the program. The video will be viewed exclusively by Mr. Fini and his collaborators for the purpose of evaluating the audition. It will not be shared publicly.

Program

The festival will start on August 21st with a final evening on August 31st.
classes will be from august 21st to the 25th and from the 27th to the 30th. August 26th will be a break while August 31st will be dedicated to rehearsals for the show (if necessary).
The lessons will start every morning at 9 am and will continue until 1 pm with some small breaks.

Each day will begin with the physical preparation of the Fini Code method followed by the Ballet lesson for modern dance and then follow with an American Modern Dance Technique or contemporary stile.

Participants will be selected to participate in the opening of the Italian International Dance Award which took place every year at the Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre. Due to Covid-19 this year the festival could take place outdoors.

Among the scheduled lessons:
Michael Mao Dance, Fini Dance New York.
Buglisi Dance Theater, Abarukas Dance.
Graham, Horton, Limon, Taylor, Hawkins.
The complete program will be delivered before the festival starts.
